What is Polypan?

PolyPan attracts attention with its aesthetic concrete appearance. It is a material in which the same image with concrete can be given in the desired design.

The biggest difference from normal concrete is that it also provides insulation. It has a static structure. Its extremely light and durable makes it a preferred material in the industry.

WHAT IS POLYWOOD ?

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF POLYURETHANE, PRECAST SYSTEMS AND INSULATED WALL DECORATION ELEMENTS IN SHORT?

All the known thermal insulating materials are loose materials, which also take on water. The thermal insulating, that has a high thermal conductivity together with the water and humidity it takes on, are at the same time materials which generate bacteria and have no transmission. Therefore, they need to be finished by material that will be put in front of them, carried of mechanically and has a decorative feature. In other words, applying two different actions, brings time, cost and application difficulties with it. Polyurethane on the other hand, provides high insulation, as well as decorative finishing by single action. It has a high visual quality, it is flexible and you can get it in different forms. WHAT IS THE PLACE OF POLYURETHANE IN HEAT INSULATION?

Polyurethane has the lowest lambda (λ) value, which is the heat conductivity factor, among insulation materials. For a density value of 160kg/m³ regarding insulated decoratif wall coverings, determined by accredited institutions, is the lambda value determined as 0,0242 W / mK. High lambda value and insulated decorative exterior wall covering and decoration panels, could be manufactured in different thicknesses for various climatic conditions.

DOES POLYURETHANE PROVIDE SOUND INSULATION?

Polyurethane has a closed cellular structure. Polyurethane panels provide sound insulation up to 50 decibels. Furthermore, these values could increase by giving the polyurethane sound absorbing forms.

DOES POLYURETHANE PROVIDE WATER INSULATION?

Polyurethanes don’t absorb water due to its closed cellular structure, so it doesn’t take on water to its structure. This feature ensures that the insulation values do not decrease.

DOES POLYURETHANE GENERATE BACTERIA LIKE OTHER INSULATION MATERIALS?

Since polyurethane wall materials do not take on water and moisture to its structure due to their locked cell structures, they do not generate and contain bacteria, they do not rot, they do not smell, they are modern and technological products with hygienic characteristics.

IS POLYURETHANE HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT?

Harmful gases (HFC) is forbidden in our country like all European countries. Now, production is being made with environment friendly new generation agents. After the material is formed, it doesn’t contain any risk. Polyurethane is in this manner environment friendly.

WHAT IS THE LIFETIME OF POLYURETHANE?

Polyurethane is a quite durable material. Although there could be a reduction in the insulation value about 30% in 15 years, and 15% in 30 years due to the reason that the closed cells open in time, the insulation is parallel to the lifetime of the construction.

COULD POLYURETHANE BE DYED?

Polyurethane could be dyed with any water-based or solvent-based paint. Because it doesn’t contain cement, lime and similar chemicals and because there’s no long-term chemical reactions and chemical releases from the structure, the durability and color vitality of exterior paint last longer. Parallel to the quality of your exterior paint, it protects its vitality and provides more resistance against external environment conditions.

DOES THE SURFACE HARDNESS OF POLYURETHANE SUFFICE?

The most used surface hardness with 180kg/m³ density and Shore D 25-30 value could be manufactured. Weight and density in hardness, are directly proportional. In special productions, a density of 1200kg/m³ and surface hardness of Shore D 80-90 could be reached.

IN WHICH TEMPERATURE INTERVALS COULD POLYURETHANE BE APPLIED WITH NO PROBLEMS?

Polyurethanes have high dimensional stability. Between -30 and +70 ˚C, they do not show any expansion. Polyurethane’s expansion is about 05% until +70 ˚C, and up to 1% above +70 ˚C. In temperatures  beyond these limits, special suture-joint (gap) application is needed.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO MANUFACTURE SPECIAL MODELS?

Polyurethane raw materials are poured in liquid form and manufactured through taking the shape of the mold. Thus, the model and pattern alternative can expand as far as your imagination.

IS IT AN EASY APPLICATION? HOW IS IT APPLIED?

Outdoor use. The application of polyurethane wall materials is very easy and very fast. It could not be compared to the speed and efficiency of other known systems, and the production and application process of conventional wall covering systems. In small-scaled or low buildings, bonding is performed with polyurethane mastics. In high buildings, mechanical assembly could be done. It provides significant cost savings regarding issues like delivery time of work, workmanship, insurance and scaffolding rent.

DOES IT HAVE OTHER ADVANTAGES IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER SYSTEMS?

It’s a quite lightweight system. It provides significant cost savings regarding your transportation costs. It considerably reduces application time. The most important expectation from construction applications, goes about time. It is unique with this feature.

IS POLYURETHANE A FLAMMABLE CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL?

Polyurethanes are being produced at B2 and B1 degrees of incombustibility.
